The National Health Institute Doutor Ricardo Jorge, IP, is looking for highly motivated possible candidates for a research fellow/PhD student (BIM), a PhD student and a post-doctoral fellow to join the research team of a challenging project in the field of Functional Genomics, entitled: The molecular pathogenesis of chromosome translocation-associated “cis-ruption” disorders to be initiated in 2012.
Successful PhD or PostDoc candidates have to apply for a FCT fellowship in 2012. The BIM research fellowship for the research fellow/PhD student will be financed though the project.
Candidates for PhD or research fellow/PhD students should have Graduation with or without Masters Degree with an overall grade of 15 (or above). Research experience in a field related with the topics of the project (bioinformatics and comparative genomics, chromatin conformation and long-range regulation, pluripotent stem cells, expression studies, transgenic models and functional genomics) is important for all candidates.
The project will be executed in the Departamento de Genética, Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr Ricardo Jorge. IP (Av. Padre Cruz, 1649-016, Lisboa) and in collaboration with additional national and foreign groups.
